A 150-hp Parker Low-NOx high-pressure steam boiler installed at a local cosmetics formulator to replace existing deteriorated and out of compliance steam generators. The new Parker steam boiler has a heat reclaimer to optimize its efficiency. The new boiler was installed outside of the production building onto a concrete pad. The project included engineering, structural calculations, local building department plan check and approval as well as SouthCoast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) permitting and source-testing.

Porter Boiler Service mechanics installed a 12″ steam distribution main and 6″ condensate return piping from the Central Boiler Plant to the proposed expansion at a local beverage bottling plant. This installation was accomplished during a weekend plant shut-down. PBS workmen working 25 feet above existing production equipment had to proceed carefully using reach forklifts, snorkle boom lifts, scissor lifts and warehouse forklifts to complete the pipe installation within schedule.
