A Surge tank and Deaerator/Feedwater tank were installed and put online in an Orange County plant. They were part of an upgrade that added two (2) 300 hp high-pressure steam boilers (phase 1) to the plant capacity.

The new Surge tank (left) and new Deaerator/Feedwater tank (below) are connected through a 3” pipe to allow the DA tank to be continuously supplied with treated water. |

The DA tank sits on a 12” reinforced concrete housekeeping pad and includes automatic level control valves. |

The new steam system will be integrated to the existing steam system by having the existing DA tank and the new DA tank connected to the new Surge tank. The new Surge will ensure that both DA feedwater tanks are supplied with adequate water. |
